my Father’s crown
Children’s children are the crown of old men, And the glory of children is their father. (Proverbs 17:6) For those who want to understand God as a Father. Come and read. Come to listen. Come watch. MyFathersCrown.com features books, studies and blogs as well as music and video.
We all are born with a father, but some never know them. We can be familiar with their habits, know basic facts about their lives, see them every day, or they can just be a name on a birth certificate.
What does knowing mean?
myFather’scrown attempts to reveal the great expanse of God’s love as a father. Whether nonfiction or fiction, we write and feature books that give readers glimpses of God’s desire to be known first, as Abba Father.
In sync with knowing God as a Father is the ability to respond to him as sons and daughters. Therefore, we will share music, video, blogs and other books that build our relationship with God.
Doug and Tina met at University of Virginia in 1987 where he majored in Sociology and she majored in English and Music. They participated in a regional campus ministry where their passion for the Christian faith blossomed.
Both served in various ministerial capacities as lay ministers and then later as ordained ministers. Doug found his passion for teaching and preaching, while Tina enjoyed leading worship ministry and small groups. Doug has worked full time for an insurance company and run a part time office/house cleaning business on the side for over 15 years. Tina has been a home educator since 1997.
Besides finishing The God On Trial Series and other topical bible booklets, Doug has plans to begin an organization called The Carver Institute, which will inspire Christians to apply their faith to the culture using the model of George Washington Carver. Tina is currently working many projects: Ages and Stages: The Book, a nonfiction book about instilling Biblical worldview into personal and family life, and two fantasy fiction series.
They love spending time with their six children who range in age from 23 to 3. Besides family games, the Webbs enjoy the beach, sports, putt-putt, movies, bowling and riveting conversations around the dinner table.
